“I realize that people come to me during one of the most emotional, overwhelming and sometimes frightening periods in their lives. Most of us never think that we will require assistance from a Family Law attorney and it is often a shock when this need arises. The legal process can seem intimidating and confusing and is rarely easy.
I find that helping someone to successfully navigate a difficult time in their lives is personally and professionally rewarding for me. Every client’s situation is extremely important to me as I genuinely care about them and their future well-being.”
Whitney is a knowledgeable, detail-oriented and empathic individual who always seeks to create trust with her clients and colleagues. She actively partners with her clients throughout every step of their case and never underestimates the emotional stress and turmoil which her clients may be experiencing.
Although the courtroom process is sometimes vital to the protection of clients and their families, Whitney believes that the best outcomes often result from people controlling their own decisions about their lives. Therefore, she is a strong advocate for mediation and other alternative dispute resolution techniques. Her legal training includes litigation experience, Collaborative Law, Mediation, Parenting Coordination & Decision Making, and acting as a Guardian ad Litem representing child clients through challenging situations.
While born in Cleveland, Tennessee, Whitney is joining us after having practiced Family Law for several years in Denver, Colorado.
She attended law school at the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in Memphis Tennessee and focused her studies on family law. She functioned as a licensed student attorney in the school’s Child and Family Litigation Clinic. Her law school activities also included clerking for two judges and participating on the law school’s Moot Court team and Moot Court Board.
